“The best way to eat an elephant is NOT to run at it really fast with your mouth open.”

I’m working on keeping the motivation going when I don’t really have hard deadlines and my team is not really depending on me for anything yet. It’s too easy to let other to-dos in life get all my attention and back burner the movie project. The whole thing feels so massive right now. But, as a great mentor once told me “the best way to eat an elephant is NOT to run at it really fast with your mouth open.” Bit by bit, poco a poco, I will inch forward.

One thing that I think will help is this journaling the process more regularly.

Task of the day: filter through last week’s interviews on the orchard. There are some gem statements in there. I’m still not sure of the overall narrative on the food supply chapter. It’s missing the connection to the earth and food nourishing us as a metaphor for improving our social and economic system. But that’s a problem to solve another day.
